In 1969, Pastor Don Ohm surrendered to the Gospel Ministry in Wichita, Kansas. He served as Associate Pastor in two separate churches and he was called to be the Senior Pastor in two other churches, one in Ontario, Canada and another in Northern California. He and his wife, Deborah, have three sons. Pastor Ohm's preaching and teaching is delivered with compassion and could be characterized as expositional, evangelistic and edifying.

     JANUARY 2010! A new year and a new decade of beginning. Spiritually we are challenged by the Word to "Put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness".        Eph. 4:24  Every year there will be promises and  challenges, both personally and spiritually, both individually and and as a church body.       

     We are also admonished in the Word to "rejoice with them that rejoice and to weep with them that weep." We will have opportunity to do that this coming year. Some in our body are undergoing severe trials and testing. They need the rest of the body's love, compassion, and support.    My challenge to Lighthouse Baptist Church this coming year is found in a prayer that I ask we all pray on a daily basis this coming year. PRAY THAT:

  1. YOUR LOVE MAY ABOUND YET MORE AND MORE IN KNOWLEDGE AND JUDGEMENT
  2. YOU MAY APPROVE THINGS THAT ARE EXCELLENT
  3. YOU MAY BE SINCERE AND WITHOUT OFFENCE 'TIL THE DAY OF CHRIST

     There will be numerous reminders of these in coming days and may each of us feel freedom to exhort one another to love and to good works concerning this prayer.
